Dental hygiene is a topic that’s been gaining traction in the last few years, and in 2017 the Dental Association of America has issued a dental hygiene poster.
The poster, entitled “Dental Hygiene Plan for 2017,” is meant to help employers and their employees prepare for the possibility of a dental emergency.
As part of the poster, employers should be mindful of the following:Dental hygiene should be practiced with a smile and good hygiene practices, including brushing your teeth regularly and keeping your teeth clean and dry, and washing your hands after use.
In order to stay hydrated, your mouth should be filled with a cool drink of water or tea, and a small amount of fresh mint is a good option to provide hydration.
You can also try a herbal toothpaste or a topical cream.
Avoid using perfumes or other perfumes that may cause irritation.
If you have a compromised immune system, consider getting tested for tuberculosis, hepatitis, or HIV/AIDS.
Avoid contact with pets and avoid any activity where you are exposed to people, such as swimming or other activities that involve touching or handling surfaces.
